EMC® Aluminum Windows & Doors Warranty

EMC Windows & Doors LLC (“EMC”) warrants to the original purchaser that its laminated glass and aluminum window and door components shall be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies under normal use and service conditions, subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations outlined herein, and only for so long as the original purchaser owns the product. EMC’S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED, AT ITS SOLE OPTION, TO THE REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND OF ANY NONCONFORMING GLASS OR COMPONENT. EMC SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY CLAIM UNDER THIS WARRANTY. See warranty document here

Warranty Coverage

Laminated Glass
EMC warrants laminated glass against manufacturing defects resulting in edge separation or conditions that materially obstruct vision through the glass for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.

Aluminum Frame
Aluminum frame and sash components are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.

Warranty Conditions & Limitations

This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not apply to damage or failure resulting from:

Breakage or fracture of glass due to impact or external forces
Improper handling, storage, installation, or fabrication not in accordance with industry standards (including GANA, AAMA, and related associations)
Exposure to standing water, excessive moisture, or building runoff
Contact with incompatible materials such as chemicals, solvents, adhesives, sealants, or cleaning agents
Modifications, alterations, or application of films to the glass
Damage caused by environmental conditions, construction materials, or chemical exposure
Removal, disposal, or destruction of the glass prior to inspection
Use in non-residential applications such as watercraft, solar systems, or refrigeration units

Claims

Any claim under this warranty must be submitted in writing to EMC through the point of purchase. EMC reserves the right to inspect any product claimed to be defective prior to removal or replacement.

If a defect is confirmed, EMC will, at its discretion:

Replace the laminated glass at no cost (F.O.B. nearest shipping point), or
Issue a refund for the original glass purchase price

EMC reserves the right to inspect, repair, or replace any defective product and to discontinue or modify product designs without obligation to update previously manufactured products.
